BCV Leaders

BCV Leaders
Each conservation action day is led by an expert.  These professional leaders are in the position to up-skill and impart knowledge to  volunteers on a specific subject.  With some leaders, the BCVs carry out on-going conservation work to support sustainable impact where needed.  Other  action days may be a one-off situation that needs addressing.  The leaders have the experience and enthusiasm to lead the group through the task.

Video Information
Hazel scrub is very invasive in the Burren. In the past it would have been cut for fuel and fencing, today it is removed to prevent it growing over grasslands and monuments. Burren Conservation Volunteers  are led by specialist contractors in this task. All  Volunteers receive training in best practice and chain saw use before under taking any of this work

BCV looking for new Leaders
BCV is looking for new leaders in all areas or people willing to learn to become leaders on the events. They won't have to attend every event and   other experts  would always be present on the day to support. New leaders or those willing to learn to be a leader  would have to commit to some leader training and to a small number of events per year. Please contact me if you feel you are the person for the job.
