A Heritage Week event for children

Find out what is involved in an archaeological excavation by digging for artefacts at a specially prepared site and learn about recording your findings. This event will be led by archaeologist Elaine Lynch of the Clare Field Monument Advisor Programme. Suitable for ages 5 to 12 years.
Meeting location: Dromore Woods Visitor Centre, which is at the main car park, 2.3km from the entrance to Dromore.
Time: There is a choice of attending either a morning session (9:30am to 11:30 am) or the afternoon session (1:30pm to 3:30pm).
Booking: Numbers are limited so booking in advance is essential
Please note:
- Parents or guardians need to stay with their children for the duration of the workshop.
- This is an outdoor event so participants need to dress appropriately for the weather and bring snacks, water as required.
- You only need to book tickets for the number of children who wish to attend. No need to book tickets for the adults.
